The Ball Is Back

Back with a bang! The Peter Vardy Summer Ball returned to our social calendar this year to mark 10 Years of Peter Vardy. On Saturday 2nd July, over 500 Peter Vardy colleagues along with their partners attended a glamorous Black Tie Ball at Stirling University.

The setting was astounding and fitting for such a celebration. The large event room was styled with black and gold balloons, performance stage, large round table with gold chairs, extensive drinks bar, cocktail bar and of course a dance floor with enough space for a conga!

The night kicked off with a piper arrival, welcoming guests into a champagne reception. Pre-dinner entertainment came from; Jazz Band 'Champagne', magicians as well as, roulette and black jack Casino tables. No Peter Vardy night would be complete without some recognition for the hard work that goes on day in, day out across the sites - a short speech from Peter Vardy and Sir Peter Vardy himself highlighted how far the company has come since its first day in Vauxhall Perth 10 years ago and what we all have to look forward to being part of Peter Vardy PLC.

Some special awards were presented to mark outstanding performances in 2016 Half 1 (H1):

Dealership of H1 – BMW / MINI                                 Guest Experience H1 – Hillington CarStore

Giving Back H1 – Jaguar Land Rover                     Partner of The Year – Alison Gilchrist

Partners were wined and dined with a luxury 3 course meal and wine to accompany. Following the meal, it was time to really get the party started! After dinner, 'The Electron Party' started and the dance floor quickly filled up - it's clear all at Peter Vardy love to celebrate. A themed photobooth was on-site for everyone to get their own personal souvenir photo from the night and all attendees were also given a commemorative Peter Vardy 10 years badge.

Event organiser, and head of our people department Lauren Wilson was the one who, along with her team made it all happen ''The night was a great success. It was clear to see everyone was having a great time, and the event was a good opportunity for all teams across Scotland to come together and celebrate 10 amazing years of Peter Vardy.''

We're looking forward to the next 10 years and hope to see the ball return again in the future.
